Having science backed evidence is helpful to why someone is suffering from different ailments. That is why functional labs are so important. Get to the root of what is causing your distress. Below is a list of the testing that I offer:
Micronutrient, Food Sensitivity, & Gut Microbiome Testing
Are you eating 9 to 10 servings of vegetables a day? If not, you may be lacking many important vitamins and minerals. Suffering from brain fog? Drained of energy despite working out and eating well? Or do you feel like you’re watching what you eat, and exercising, but nothing seems to help you lose weight? You could be suffering a nutrient deficiency. These tests offer information to help with various autoimmune diseases as wells as thyroid, and chronic health conditions like heart disease and diabetes. I partner with the following companies:
Vibrant America is a leading science and technology company delivering life-transforming laboratory services. Vibrant’s vision is to enable symptom-based diagnostics and prognostics for Autoimmune disease and other chronic diseases using an integrated micro-array platform that would enable multiplex testing at an affordable cost. They offer micronutrient, food sensitivity, and the wheat zoomer tests. Learn more here.
SpectraCell Laboratories, Inc. SpectraCell Laboratories, Inc. is a leading clinical laboratory specializing in personalized disease prevention and management solutions. They have tests that look at intracellular micronutrient, cardiometabolic testing as well as hormone and genetic testing.
Like nutrients, hormones influence all aspects of health and disease – mood, sleep, metabolism, immunity, heart health and appearance. An imbalance of one hormone can initiate cascade of events that alters other hormones, so a comprehensive look at hormone status is key. Learn more here.
Standard cholesterol tests can miss that YOU are at risk. SpectraCell’s CardioMetabolic test offers a clinically relevant evaluation to help define risk for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD), progression toward Type 2 Diabetes, and inflammation. It includes SpectraCell’s Advanced Lipoprotein Particle Profile™ Plus (LPPTM Plus), which measures lipoprotein size and density; cardiovascular risk stratification; and also includes triglycerides and traditional cholesterol screening. Learn more here.
Telomeres are sections of genetic material at the end of each chromosome whose primary function is to prevent chromosomal “fraying” when a cell replicates. As a cell ages, its telomeres become shorter. Eventually, the telomeres become too short to allow cell replication, the cell stops dividing and will ultimately die – a normal biological process. SpectraCell’s Telomere Test can determine the length of a patient’s telomeres in relation to the patient’s age. Learn more here.
The ApoE test determines an individual’s genetic risk associated with the Apolipoprotein E gene. ApoE is involved in the metabolism of cholesterol and triglycerides, and variants in this gene can have clinically relevant implications for disease risk as well as one’s response to statin therapy, dietary fat, and other risk factors (eg., smoking and alcohol consumption).
